VoIP Quality Test

Will your next WhatsApp / Zoom / Teams call work? Test before you join.

VoIP (Voice-over-IP) covers WhatsApp calls, Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Skype — anything that runs audio over the internet. All of them need low latency, low jitter, low packet loss. Speed beyond ~1 Mbps doesn't help.

Our VoIP test simulates a 10-second VoIP probe and predicts MOS (Mean Opinion Score) so you know whether your connection is ready for calls before joining.

What this measures

  • Latency
  • Jitter
  • Packet loss
  • Predicted MOS

How it works

  1. Simulated VoIP traffic
  2. MOS prediction
  3. Verdict + fix

Why this matters

Joining a meeting and discovering your audio is broken wastes everyone's time. Test first, fix first.

Top fixes

  • High jitter: switch to 5 GHz Wi-Fi
  • Packet loss: try ethernet or mobile hotspot
  • High latency: change DNS, then check ISP

FAQs

What MOS do I need for calls?

4.0+ is good. Below 3.6 you'll have problems. Below 3.0 the call won't be usable.

Do you record my audio for this test?

Never. We don't request microphone access. The test simulates VoIP traffic with synthetic packets — no audio involved.
