Latency = round-trip time. The single most important metric for everything interactive.
Latency (round-trip time) is the time for a single packet to go from your device to a server and back. It's the metric that decides whether video calls feel natural or laggy, whether games feel responsive or floaty, and whether browsing feels snappy or sluggish.
We measure latency to the nearest Signalyzr probe with a series of small probes and report median, jitter, and worst-case.
Speed and latency are different. Many 'slow internet' complaints are actually latency complaints in disguise.
All the same thing. Different communities use different names.
Under 30 ms is great. Under 50 ms is fine for most uses. Above 100 ms you'll notice it.
