Gaming Lag Fix

Lag = ping + jitter + loss. The fixes target each.

Online gaming lag has three causes, in order of impact: ping (latency), jitter (latency variance), packet loss. Speed almost doesn't matter once you're above ~10 Mbps.

Signalyzr measures all three and tells you which is your biggest problem and how to fix it.

What this measures

  • Ping
  • Jitter
  • Packet loss
  • Bufferbloat (catches 'lag only when downloading')

How it works

  1. Test
  2. Identify dominant cause
  3. Targeted fix in priority order

Why this matters

Generic gaming advice is generic. We give you the specific fix matched to your bottleneck.

Top fixes

  • Order of impact: DNS → wired → 5 GHz → router QoS → ISP routing complaint

FAQs

What's more important — speed or ping?

Ping. Speed barely matters above 10 Mbps for gaming. Latency, jitter, and loss are everything.

Is Wi-Fi OK for gaming?

5 GHz Wi-Fi close to the router can match wired. 2.4 GHz or distant Wi-Fi adds 10-20 ms and jitter.
